Hello,

My 14-month old daughter is attending a daycare. She has been constantly sick since the winter starts. I understand that kids in daycare get sick easily in winter time. But the teachers who care for my daughter just have their own ideas and don't follow my instructions. I told them to put an additional layer of blanket on my daughter during her nap. They did not do that and told me the room was warm enough. I know it is not enough for my daughter but they do not listen. I am looking for a familycare or any other alternatives. Can someone recommend a good one for me? Many thanks!

Julie

Not sure where you're located, but you could try these two websites to help you find a provider:

or

Good luck!

Sorry, can't help you with a dc. But honestly, do you actually think that not putting an extra blanket over your daughter is causing her go get sick. I don't think so. And how do you know that they are not putting an extra blanket on her, are you there at nap time or did they tell you that. Also, any 14 mo old I have ever cared for never kept a blanket on them anyways, unless I was constantly in there covering them back up while they were asleep.

Also, in some states in licensed facilities, children in infant rooms are NOT allowed any type of covering over them.

I am not sure why parents are always so quick to blame providers for their children getting sick. I hope you figure out why she seems to be getting sick alot, but please, don't blame the dc or the providers who you think are not covering up your child.
