I live in Illinois. I do have additional insurance on my daycare. It is an extension to my homeowners. I would reccommend it.

Not sure how it works in your state but make sure the company that covers your homeowners insurance knows that you have a daycare business out of your home. Some insurance companies will not cover it even if you have separate daycare insurance.

We have American Family and they will cover you with an add on to your policy. It is not that much more per year. I think I will call in January and add it on. This kind of coverage is very important.

Hi, I also live in NY and it was very hard to find liability insurance that was affordable. I ended up going through the child care council. They have a very affordable plan.
