Dck walks in this morning and you could tell the kid had been crying hard. I look at the kid, comment that it seems like it's been a tough morning and dcm pipes up with 'oh it's been a bad morning! Dck finally stopped screaming on the way over after I threatened to throw the lovie out the window.'

Dcm leaves, dck heads into the playroom, finds a book, and bee lines it for my lap. We read and snuggle a bit, then dck tells me:

"Daddy pushed me this morning cuz he was tired of my bullsh*t"

Seriously? The kid JUST turned 3. But yet the parents have NO CLUE why their kid is so aggressive and says such mean things to them.

Trust me, I've tried to explain it to them. I've pulled research articles, loaned them books, talked until I'm blue in the face. But nope, they have no idea why. Except that it might be due to daycare, since, ya know research shows that kid in daycare are more aggressive. (yes I have read the research and don't necessarily disagree with it. I think there's a lot of factors that go into aggression, personally.)

I'm just.... Some parents are ridiculous!
