So this isn't a question or a vent from me this time. Don't be so shocked But wanted to share my excitement. My youngest son who is a senior in high school this year, plays varsity football. Well last night his team played the first game of the play offs for state. All of us parents were excited because they went in with the first seed. They played a very good team and we WON! After 3 hours of sitting on the edge of our seats and biting our mails our boys came out with the win. Score was 44 to 40. Next game is this Sat. at 2:00.

Thanks for letting me do alittle bragging.

That is so cool. My son plays football and in highschool his team went on to win the State Champ. game. Very exciting. I agree it is a hard sport to watch at times but if they are smart and have a good coach that teaches them how to hit the chances of them getting hurt are no more than if they were on he soccer field. Oh and you want to know a mean sport look at water polo. The things they do to each other! You wouldn't belive!!!

That's awesome! Congratulations - to both of you!

I love high school sports. I'll never forget when my youngest son - as a sophomore - pitched the first game of regionals against the best team in the area - and their highly recruited Division I pitcher - and his team won! I think I was more excited than he was . Enjoy every minute - it goes by so quickly!

Well for those who don't know me, yet, my son is a very active sports player. With that said we also have the orthopedic clinic on speed dial.. He has had a broken nose, surgery on his thumb, he has broke his knee cap, torn his bicep muscule, and torn ligament in right elbow, and just a recent as last night had a concussion. But if its any consilation he is 100% against drug and drinking. He goes to church, works during the off season of sports and is one of the most respectful young men you will ever meet. So yes even though it is hard to watch him get hit, or waiting for the next visit to the Dr. It is also enjoyable. And a very proud moment when we his parents get to escort him on the field that last home game.
