I have to get some sort of system in place this weekend! I feel so out of sorts and hate it. It just drives me bonkers. Also, the school year puts me over the edge for 9 long, long months! To much to do in the evenings with homework, dinner, clean up, etc.

In my mind I know what I need to get done and if I start from the time the kids leave tonight till the arrive Monday morning it might give me enough time. Sleep is over rated and so is eating so I will skip those to gain time-.

My question-why oh why do schools send homework home that parents can't help with and don't have hours to devote to! My daughters math homework was ridiculous last night and I didn't have time to just sit and help her. She is a perfectionist so these kind of things drive her over the edge to.

OK, thanks for letting me get that off my chest!

Oh I hear you! * HUGS*

If I could get only organized my life would be so much easier during the day! It seems that each day I get further and further behind, more and more disorganized! Just NO TIME during the day to stay neat and organized and then it piles up and piles up until it becomes so overwhelmingly DEPRESSING.

Yes! If i could go without sleep, eating and going to the bathroom without being exhausted, famished and not explode I would be able to accomplish so much!!

OH, my sleep is very precious to me also. I easily could do 10 hour night-. This weekend though, not going to be happening very much.

Note to self: Quit looking at facebook/websites! They inspire me so much but I can't do everything-

I feel your pain! Granted I don't have any of my own kids, but the organizing thing I'm in the same boat. Last night as I scrambled to find something I almost cried and I am soooo not the crying type!

I just keep plugging away at the mess. Funny thing is, the daycare area and daycare stuff is all put away & organized. I'm still living out of a suitcase because my dresser is still sitting in the garage from when I moved 5 months ago!

let me row my boat to you so we can do it together....my DD wants to go to the mall tonight so she gets to help me organize all of my DC stuff this weekend....may not be the fairest trade for her, but with gas at $4.20 a gallon, and it's a 25min drive one way....I think I will get what I want...lol

Me too! I manage to keep the daycare area fairly clean and organized.. but oh my poor living room dining room right now! We aren't even going to talk about upstairs! This weekend I will find my dining room table! oh and fold and put away laundry. Between all the summer stuff, dd at college, home, back to work a program, back home again, then off for the fall, ds and his trips etc. I need a good house cleaning! I feel like all of my weekends have been road trips this summer. I am ready for our winter schedule of dh and ds being gone 3 out of 4 weekends at least one day of the weekend and me being able to get things done!

I just bought $3.00 5 gallon totes (that look like this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-...anium/16351124) from Walmart.
17 (all that they had) and need to go buy more. I organized them by thematic unit and combined several of the ones that have less "stuff." It's a work in progress. I've already found it extremely useful for finding books by subject! This week we have been doing Back to School so all books about school were in the box ready to go, in addition to small toys like school busses, little school houses, etc.

I'm in panic mode right now, though. We have 30+ people coming over tomorrow evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. Oh dear.

I hear ya! I have asked for an answer sheet so I can atleast check and see if I'm doing it right.
I find that I spend the whole weekend catching up from the week that I really don't get a weekend.
