It is frustrating, isn't it? The whole "but it's easier" thing just infuriates me. It will continue to happen, though.

It’s unreal how many babies are left to sleep in their carseats regularly. This daycare provider should have known better and the parents should have taken him out of the seat before she left. Both are at fault.

Parenting classes should be mandatory.

I have two clients with infants right now.

One openly discusses how well their baby sleeps in the swing every morning and afternoon for nap time and the other says the only time their household gets any peace/quiet is when their baby is sleeping in the car seat and then comments on how many hours baby has spent in the car seat but hasn't actually "traveled" anywhere.

First parent is a nurse. (LPN) currently working and in school to earn her RN degree. The second parent is a physician.

So yeah...

And they wonder why we don't accept their return to care notes.

I actually pass over clients who use one particular pediatrician in town. If someone switches after enrollment, I can mark on the calendar when the issues will begin. Magically, almost overnight, every healthy, normally developing child with seasonal sniffles will be seeing seven specialists, have appointments weekly, be allergic to twenty-seven substances and be on twelve meds per day. (only slightly exaggerating) Both my GP and Medical Director physically cringe at the mere mention of this pediatrician's name.
