Daycare Center and Family Home Forum>Best Computer Software For Preschoolers

I have a computer in my daycare room for the preschoolers to use (they get 15 minutes a day if they want it during free play). THey are interested in it but can only really do the fisher price games site since some of the games you just hit any button.
Anyone know of any learning games that they recommend for very beginners on the computer? I'd like them to learn to use the mouse but not in a frustrated way.

Best of all, it's free! There is a learning curve to use the mouse to click--I made an "account" on my computer for my daughter and made some adjustments to accommodate her: larger cursor, tail on the cursor (to assist in tracking it/finding it), slower cursor. This might help for those just learning the computer. You do need to spend some time teaching the use of the mouse and what to click on (and which button to use to click) but most kids should get it with a little practice.

A lot of people seem to recommend the Jumpstart Toddler/Jumpstart Preschooler software, but I haven't tried either yet.

They have great games, coloring pages you can print off, there is even a game of the week called mouse control.

My kids use this site sometimes.

This is also a good site for the really young ones. They can do several different things.

When you first enter it asks for a purchase or donation, but if you just click on it, it goes away. The school my daughter attends uses this site. And I use it as well.
