I like mats over cots. But i hate when parents buy those super thin mats that aren't even a inch thick. I mean the kid might as well lay on the floor. Is it to much to ask parents to buy the 2inch daydreamer mat?

We can't even lay kids on those here, even if the parent's provided them. If parents are providing them, I would tell them which ones you want. A little pushy, but sometimes you've got to be a little pushy...

I actually like the thinner ones. Over carpet I think they're plenty plush and they're easy to store. I've never had a kiddo complain about them.

We had patches of plain crummy carpet over flat carpet floors when I was in pre-K and kindy. Served us just fine lol

Yes, if you want a specific kind you will definitely have to specify and tell where they can be found (says the woman who only has cots and provides sheets and blankets ... LOL).

I love my cots, the Regalo cots that most providers give bad reviews! I tried the mats, and the thick ones at that but my kids end up off the mat and on the floor. Because I don't have carpets I felt bad, especially if a parent picked up during nap (appointments).

So I just bought them because I found some at an outlet and I adore them.

I agree though if you are going to buy them you should not want your child on a pallet. You might as well put down a blanket.

I don't like cots either. They are bulky and hard to store. I provide the mats though as well as sheets I make for them, small pillows with a matching case and a blanket.

I just like the kids to be comfortable and i don't see a thin mat as comfortable. I little girl that i use to watch mat lasted her from 2 years old til kindergarten. It was the 2in daydreamer. But sooner or later i guess i'll just have to buy them myself.

I love my cots, too! I prefer cots over mats any day. It is a bit more of a hassle to store them but worth it IMO. And I provide sheets and blankets, too.
