If there is a program like checkinkids that I can set different hours for each child? They have contracted hours and I want the late fee to start after their contracted pick up time, not my closing time or max hours.

Same here and no, not that I've found!!
I use kinderlime. It doesn't do late fees but it has a few other cool features because its integrated with Facebook. It also emails e parents the exact time their child is signed in and out (if you check that feature) which is convenient if parents dispute a late fee.
Also, if another pick up person comes, it emails the parents to let them know what time grandma etc picked up

I don't use check in kids for that reason! Don't know of any others.

I'll be keeping my eye on this thread. I just looked into using checkinkids in the last 2 weeks or so. I wasn't too crazy about the last of customizable options so I haven't used it yet. I like the way that it notifies the parents of how much their late fee is but that only goes by your business hours. It is completely useless if you do contracted hours or even if you have different or varying pick up times. I also didn't like the fact that there wasn't a place where the actual late fees were recorded. I felt they should be listed right next to the daily log for each client. (rather than having to count the minutes and tally everything up myself.)
I did e-mail the owner (Michael) with my thoughts and he said that "they are planning on rolling out a new version within the next year that may include more features like that."
For those of you that use checkinkids, I would highly suggest sending him your ideas for what you'd like to see. I've only been open a few weeks and I'm sure many of you could think of a lot more options that would be helpful.

We had some great opportunities on this forum to actually connect and talk with some software designers about the things we, as providers would like to see in these daycare software programs. There are several threads here about it...here are a few:
