Any tips or advice on how to present my (mostly informal) knowledge and skills in a professional and coherent way when applying for jobs that are "in the world"?

LOL!!
I though about your reply in that thread right away and for me personally, I search via the poster and not the tags.
For some reason, I remember who posted something long before I remember the tags assigned to a thread.

Thank you! That's super helpful.
So you ARE supposed to put job duties and stuff in a resume? I thought you weren;t....but then I suck at this process

I think you are suppose to list your recent jobs/positions and then under those headings, list the duties the job/position entails.
Also included dates of employment too.
I think* It's been a long time since I had any experience with writing a resume'
Here is a sample I found on line

Thanks, BC and Mema. I actualy just finished updating it and submitted it one place already. 'Cause I searched for jobs on a whim this morning and found a few really intriguing ones...did an online app for one...and um, already got an email back asking for my resume. (Squeak!)
This is so scary...good scary...I love my job but I'm sort of hoping for something new.
My resume is hard to do because I don't have much beyond the home daycare, and college. Other than this we reach waaaaaay back about 7/8 years to a series of stupid retail crap. So yeah. I have to stretch the childcare out as much as is reasonable...
