What do you all have set up? My sister has an actual kids-sized plastic (heavy duty-like Step 2 stuff) sink that attaches to the garden hose, but she's had it for years and I can't find one.

I've looked at gardening sinks, but they are all wall mounted, not free standing. Right now, we just wash at the hose once, then again inside. Their little feet always get wet outside, although I have a big cement planter underneath to slow the water flow (a bucket would be too dangerous, obviously!)

I would like to set up a sink on the front porch...any ideas?

You might look up plastic outdoor sinks. I know here whenever there is an event that has porta potties available they will set up free standing sinks. They are plastic, one on one side, one on the other. You pumb the water out of a tank that must be inside and there is a little place to put paper towels even.

Look up "Step 2-fun, flow sink". Would this work?

Search outdoor sink on pinterest. I just looked and found some really neat ones. I could use one, too.
This is the one I want: http://www.improvementscatalog.com/o...87?listIndex=0

no, that one recycles the water in the sink...more of a sensory table...

You could run the drain tube away from where they stand so that their feet aren't in the mud.

We use our RV for outdoor potty breaks and handwashing and stuff so if you have a camper, that might work for you.

If not, Google camping sinks. They make lots of different ones that would probably work.

Thanks Sunchimes-

I did find that one as well, but was wondering if anyone actually had one in use. I'm more interested in how it works in practice than in theory. I did find a few online, but nothing really "speaks to me"...

I need one too, my kids play so much outside that its a pain for them to keep coming and going in and out of the house.
