1099 Help?! (Tom)

Hi, I just received an email from a parent. I am cc'd in the conversation between the mom and her CPA. She says she is submitting her 1099 for her child's daycare expenses. The CPA says he needs my email because his company emails the 1099 forms.
What is this all about? I have already given her a w-10, and have no idea what she is doing. Isn't the 1099 for independent contractors?

The parent should not be sending you Form 1099. Since she has the W-10 that's all she needs. If you do get Form 1099, report this amount on line 6 of Schedule C (other income), so the IRS will know that you reported this as income.
