Well, you are helpful, lol!

I want to be off Monday-Wednesday, but I have no idea if that is too much time.

With the dumb timing this year I was thinking of being off the whole week (Dec 21st to Jan 2 ) but it didn't work out. So, right now I'm not sure. Usually I take off the 25th and 26th and I'll probably do that. I'll only have one kid that whole week anyway.

I take Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. I also have the week between Christmas and New Year's Day off as well. As I have all teacher's children. I give them a break, 1/2 off for that week!!

Monday through Friday the 24th to the 28th. I am open again on Monday Dec 31, only to be closed on Tuesday Jan 1st.

Weird I know, but it is what it is and I do the best I can with the dates as they fall.

I considered closing Monday the 31st as well and just have an extra long vacation but my daycare families all work so I will too.

I'm not sure yet this year. I always get the 24/25th and 31st/1st off as those are paid holidays for me. My current dcks will be gone the 24th - 28th week on vac so.. I'm thinking of taking Jan 2 -4 th off and having 2 week vacation... but I'm not sure. It would give me time with my own kids, which would be really nice

I figure I'm getting two four day weekends in a row! I've decided instead of using my vacation time up in the winter I'm going to go for the summer instead.

So we will still do some fun things on those two weekends.

I'm taking off Dec 20th - Dec 26th. Last year I only took Christmas/Boxing Day, but this year I decided to add a few days so we could go away.

It's in my contract that I am off Christmas and Boxing Day, so really it's only 3 extra days.

I always take off the "winter vacation" that the schools have off. My entire family has December birthdays and I REALLY need that time to de-stress, and take down all the Christmas decorations. This year the schools have off Dec. 22-Jan 1 resuming Jan 2 so that's what I'm going to do. Yes, it's a week and half off but that's just how it is. My daycare families are all pretty good with my days off so I don't forsee a problem.

I am closed Dec. 21st thru Jan 3rd. I always close 7-10 days around this time of year (with pay). Parents know in advance so the ones who work during this time have back-up care planned. I love spending this extra time with my own family and it gives the kids in my care a break as well....

December 24-January 2 (back on the 3rd) Normally, I take Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Day off paid (if they fall during the week). This year, we are leaving on the 22nd to go to Florida, and so I took it unpaid.

Closing at noon on Christmas Eve, closed Christmas day and Boxing day (the 26th), open the 27th and 28th (Thursday and Friday). Open Monday on New Year's Even until noon again, then closed New Year's Day and re-open Jan. 2nd

Honestly I don;'t think my families will need be for the 27th and 28th but since we don't ever do anything those two days, I don't mind being open.
