Ive posted on this topic before. A few questions on PNO:

1. Because I'm licensed does this change anything, since its after hours?

2. What if they want me to watch a sibling too. Am I allowed too?

3. Should I have a seperate "PNO Contract" I have seen these.

Thanks....

IMHO, no, it doesn't change anything. You are still providing care for childre.

As long as you are within your limits, yes you can watch a sibling.

You can, but I would just make sure that I had the required paperwork on each child.

I refuse to do a PNO, I'm dead at the end of the week and don't want to watch more kids.

Sharlan is correct..

I am in CA and I do a monthly parents night out. It is for all families and their children even those not enrolled in my care.

to answer your questions, this is what my LIC told me.

yes you are still under lic rules and regs as well as capacity no matter what the hours are if you are providing a service. free or not.

you MUST also have all forms on file for each child in your care.

yes you should have a separate contract for PNO. I have one and it is very basic. You can see it if you would like.

Daycare....I would like to see a copy of your PNO Contract! Please!

But a PNO doesn't fall into the category for "Childcare on a regular basis" if you are legally unlicensed in Florida, does it? (Florida only allows you to care for one family unlicensed "on a regular basis") Occasional PNO wouldn't fall into that, would it?

If I remember correctly: in TX you must still follow the Minimum Standards. We use to host PNO and we had to call licensing to inform them of when it was etc.

Rules could have changed but that's what I remember.
