Someone ran into the gate!
It was a dckids grandma! She hollered out to my ds to let her know if she needed to pay damage and drove off.
I have never felt this way before but recently I just cannot wait to be done. It's not the kids either, it's the parents. I just don't want them coming over here anymore.

Again?? How hard is it to NOT hit a gate that stretches the width of your driveway??

Unreal. Ummm, yes. Damages please. And honestly, I'd get a police report.

Wow!

I agree if the police will do a report on private property do it. And then get an estimate for damages and send her the bill.

This is actually the first time anyone has ran into the gate. But the gate was put up to prevent them running into everything else, so I knew it would happen eventually.

That's awful...and not at all surprising. I'm on my last daycare kid, and I've finally had a minute to actually look around and see what 12 years of having a home daycare has done to my house and yard. Aaaauuggghhhhh!!!!! (Even the finish has been rubbed off the front door handle.) I'm pretty sure that after I repaint and repair, I'm going to wrap my furniture in plastic and be that scary neighbor who won't let kids walk on her grass. LOL!

Wow!! This person didn't even give you the common curdosy of saying sorry. Wow. And I bet when she does indeed get he bill will complain or flat out not pay. So so sorry.

You and me! It's amazing the damage that my home has sustained. The number one thing i'm looking forward to, though, is uninstalling the gates. I can't wait to walk through my home without the gates.

That reason is the reason I had hubby build our gates. Now they just look like part of the house/a door. No ugly baby gates to trip over. These are like half doors that you open and close like a door! I love our gates!!
I absolutely cannot believe your daycare parents. I just don't get how they keep running into everything! I mean; are they not watching where they're going or what's causing this? You bet your butt I would be billing her!

My hubby put half doors in for me in Kansas. He went to the house scrap and got a door and cut it in half. Put little shelf ledges on the top half of each. Had locks on the backside of each that I could reach over and turn the knob and open but the kids couldn't reach. Once they were painted and installed, they looked and worked awesome and we left them open when I didn't have kids. LOVED them.
