Daycare Center and Family Home Forum>Question about OREGON requirements for sign in records

I am getting conflicting answers from other daycare providers whether or not in the state of OR you are required to have parent's signatures on your sign in sheets for your records or not. I know you have to keep sign in records for a year. Does anyone know the answer 100%? Thanks

Are you a registered provider? If so it is under the record keeping part of the rule book:

b) Daily attendance records, including dates each child attended and arrival and departure times for each day. Times shall be recorded as the child care children arrive and depart;

That rule is correct. You do not need the parent to sign, just arrival and departure times. You must keep these records for at least 1 year.

There are new rules coming out. The record keeping has some changes but regarding this it's just the wording.

Proposed rules that have been accepted but not documented or enforced YET.
