Yeah. Never happens. I love the "Im picking up early" and then they show up about 10 or 15 minutes earlier than normal. Um, that's not what I consider early.

Yes! I love this one! I get it all the time! Picking up early=10 minutes prior to closing time ALWAYS!

In one ear and out the other. Saying they will come early is one of the biggest markers that they will in fact be late. I always answer with.... "just text me ten minutes out. I will forget this before you pull out of the driveway. Whatever you do... just don't be late"

I always ask them at what time they will be picking up. "If everything works out I might be able to make plans to do something." If I get a commitment they tend to arrive when stated.

Funny how it makes the parent feel better to say that when providers are thinking "here's your sign"!!!!

I tell the KID and that typically makes them stick to their word. Honestly, the kids are more excited about getting sprung early than I am *unless it's my last pick up, of course*

"Ohhh Timmy did you hear that? Mommy is coming to get you EARLY!"
"What time did you say Sue?"
"How fun Timmy, Mommy will be here right after nap! You will be so excited to wake up and see her!"

She only showed up 20 minutes after she said she would. Not too bad

That's pretty good! I had one yesterday too. Dcd said right in front of the kids that he would be here after snack. Yep, after snack alright, and an hour and 15 minutes later. He must have forgot what time snack was at.

I have learned never to wake a child because the parent is going to come early.
