Wow, I have been receiving several calls lately! Mostly for full time, infant care. I only have one p/t spot left!
A family called last week looking for care-she actually found me on the great start website. I told her I only had one opening for p/t and she said she needed full time and asked if I had any openings in the fall. Of course I said anything can change and I may, and she said ok, thanks.
Well come last Friday, she called back saying she was interested in the p/t spot. She said she would talk to her dh and would call back to set up a meeting time. Well she hasn't called back and in the mean time, I have received two other calls and one referral from someone I know, one needed full time and one is supposedly calling today. Oh well, you snooze you loose

Yeah, it seems to really be popping lately! I get at least a call a week now, several interviews. Filled a FT and PT spot last month alone and waiting to hear back about my last infant spot.

Send some my way! I was just saying to dh this morning that I can't believe how dead it's been. I'm actively trying to fill at least 2 spots and having been getting almost no calls.

I was popping for a month and now....crickets! I want to fill a PT space (preferably so I don't have to let a PT go to fill it with FT) Send some my way! and I am pretty sure I have a family giving notice after the letter I sent home today.

It always seems to happen that way! I had an opening in Sept. and only had a few calls and couldn't fill it until Feb. (everyone wants inf. care and this was for 30 mo. and up)! And now all these calls-still for inf. though.I was popping for a month and now....crickets! I want to fill a PT space (preferably so I don't have to let a PT go to fill it with FT)

It definitely comes in spurts for me...no calls for a couple months then all at once,and usually infants. At the moment I need to fill 2 spots and I'm hoping the calls start coming in!

I just got full well almost full I could still have someone on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. But im happy with the kids we have. Last week I got 6 calls Total for roundabout 10 kids WOW. Im glad Im full cause I hate interviewing. I hope I can just keep these kids for awhile. We are moving in the summer and I would love to not have to interview again.
