Washing my hands constantly from diaper changes and nose wiping dries out my hands. Plus the low humidty from winter my hands are so dry.

I have 5 kiddo's in diapers right now and my hands get so dry. I notice after I change a diaper. I think the diapers are sucking all the moisture out of my hands.

What is the best lotion that is not greasy to use?

yes this too. Constant hand washing, toy washing, dishes and winter weather all contribute too. I just notice it the most from handling a clean diaper during a diaper change.

Not diapers, but frequent hand washing. I keep little bottles of lotion next to the sink and diaper table, any kind works for me.

We have 8 in diapers - and I was just noticing that my knuckles are very dry (I never ever have dry skin). Plus, all the hand washing after nose wiping isn't helping.

My hands are soooooo dry.......I leave bloody little fingerprints all over everything but I am so used to it, I rarely notice.

I have eczema so my finger tips crack open and bleed around my fingernails and sometimes on my knuckles.

I use a presciption hand cream and simply deal with it.

My doctor always says "Just try not to get your hands wet very often" to which I

I'm not sure it's the actual diaper, but it's definately from washing my hands 100 million times a day that's for sure!

UGH! Bc so sorry you have to deal with that! Ds has eczema very bad as well, his neck is bleeding right now. (well, not RIGHT NOW, you know what I mean.)

I only have ONE in diapers at the moment! I just potty trained 4 of my 2yo's! So my hands are better. I use aveeno lotion after EVERY handwashing. I have a pump at the sink and the kids use it now too.

You ladies might want to invest in the laytex (or not laytex) gloves. The Centers have to use them and they might help if you think the diapers themselves are drying your hands out. Also for those with hands so dry they are bleeding.

I use rubber gloves for doing dishes and a different pair for cleaning. The less you expose your skin to chemicals the better.

And... antibiotic soap rips me up! I have to get the softsoap regular stuff. Avoid hand sanitizer too. Skin is just not meant for that much abuse.

I use gloves. But just restocking the clean ones i can feel them suck the life out of my hands.

DRYER SHEETS are terrible on my hands and all the handwashing

My hands have been so dry, cracked and uncomfortable. I used to use cornhuskers lotion. It works very well.

Yes this would be me as well, and it's especially worst this year more so than the previous ones.

I use glaxal base cream. You can buy it in big tubs. I also have finger tips that crack so I have that liquid crack sealer. I am very bad about cleaning without wearing gloves so I know I bring the issues on myself.

I also have huge cracks on my heels. For that the only thing that works is the body shop hemp foot cream.

We have 8 infants in diapers and we wash hands after each diaper change plus we wash hands to prepare every bottle, serve food, when we wipe a nose, each time we come back in the room etc. My hands get very dry and crack on the knuckles. I stopped wearing my rings so I could apply Eucerin frequently. It helps, but it's not a cure-all. I've never noticed the diapers doing anything, only the hand-washing.

Just make sure when you get gloves that they are the powder free ones. Those are the worst as far as making your hands dry- especially if you are sensitive to the powder that they use. Several staff members in our center were (including me) so we switched to powder free.
