I have my first inspection coming up in 2 weeks. I have two questions:
1) Will I get written up for having electrical cords on the ground? I have a CD played plugged in, and a hepa air filter, but I'm not sure what to do with the cords.
2) Is there anything you were written up for that you were surprised about? Any suggestions for me?

I would think you might get a warning for the elec cords . Can you hide them under an area rug or something ?
all my cords are bebind things where little hands can not reach .

Don't hide cords under rugs. Fire hazard. You can be written up for that.

I don't have any cords hidden. My inspector only looks for the outlets to be covered.

My regs say we can't have extension cords left where children can access them. I would unplug the CD player and filter while you have your inspection. My licensor probably wouldn't bat an eye at a cord for a dc player that we were currently using - but just to be left plugged in would not be okay.

I will have to see what she says!

Yeah, I wouldn't have extension cords running on the ground. DEFINITELY would not put them under a rug! You can mount them to the wall with tracks. Or I would just unplug them for the inspection and ask about it when she's there.

Don't forget to check your water temp! I forgot.
Good luck!

Our extension cord has to be under 6 foot in length.
