Well.
It's not the reaction I expected.
I was thinking the meal times or the dont bring food inside reminder
I had one dad pick up read the newsletter. When he came to the part where I wrote in the contracted time they chose to fill in. He gets there and confronts me on it. Saying well we both work out of town, there are days I need to be AT work at 7.
I tild him I was sorry but my needs are my priority.
Ugh so 30 minutes later he leaves, I know pissed that I've stood my ground and require that he notify me if he has to work early.
Oh well. Have a great weekend everyone.

If it's such a problem, they can find someone else to bring the child to care. My goodness. I'm glad you stood your ground. Have a great weekend!

Sorry he did that to you. I am so proud of you. It is such a hard thing to do for some reason...us to stand our ground. It really is! Don't let it ruin your weekend. Hugs to you

Obviously he felt like you worked for him. You proved him wrong and he threw a tantrum like a child.
Kudos to you for standing your ground and telling him its YOUR business!!!

Parents need to learn to set their priorities. If they can't juggle work and family, maybe they should have thought that through before bringing life into this world.
Centers here close at 6pm. I close at 530pm. The day I have a parent ask me to work past that is the day they can leave. 7pm?! Are you kidding me?! I have 3 children in elementary school that go to bed at 8pm. That would leave me with 20 minutes per day per kid. No WAY!!!

My point is, HE HAND WROTE the time in he needed, he chose it. I'm not changing my hours, only enforcing the hours he wrote on the contract in August,2&1/2 months ago. I just transferred the info from his contract to the newsletter. I have contracted times. Not open closed. My thing with them is one or two mornings a month they show up as I'm dressing, as I'm coming home from walking my dog. A full hour before I need to be open. I've put my foot down. And will not allow early drop offs without prior approval.
During our conversation Friday I did say he could call me the morning of but I'm going to tell him Monday morning he will have to notify me the night before if he wants me to open early. If I'm out with the dog I'm not going to run home if he calls on the way to my house. He surely knows before he leaves his house thaat he needs to be at work by 7am. His time is 730 that he chose, He normally drops off at 8 or 9 am. However i am always available by 730 am. But on the days he goes in early he does not give me the respect I deserve. Andr that is what I am going to insist on.

I would be so upset if someone droped off their children an hour early!? With out notifying you?! Thats total disregard for you and your business, i'm glad you put your foot down, better late then never right? Next time it will be easier to nip stuff in the bud.
