Default Naps

I have a 1.5 yr old who always took 2 naps up until recently. Now heíll take a morning nap but no afternoon nap. We shortened the morning nap but he still wonít sleep in the afternoon. Can anyone give me advice on how to just get him to take an afternoon nap? I thought about just cutting out the morning nap but heís so tired around that time.

At that age, I would just bite the bullet and give up the morning nap. Itís an adjustment...a grumpy toddler nodding off at the lunch table, but they do adapt.

There's a good chance that you'll be able to gradually shift the one nap to later and later so that it doesn't conflict with your schedule as much.

Yep, cut the AM nap, maybe move afternoon nap half an hour earlier for everyone or put him down first after lunch? He should adjust after a few days.
