I am just feeling so "blah" lately ...

We've been stuck inside almost ALL winter because of the ridiculous snow, cold temperatures, and now I have an infant.

I haven't wanted to plan any fun activities or projects ... honestly, all the kids have been doing recently is a whole bunch of free play. Tomorrow, for example, we are making a collage of green stuff. That's pretty much all I have planned for St. Patrick's Day :\ We haven't been doing circle times or sensory bins or anything like that.

I'm sitting here looking through all the stuff I printed out this time last year for using for a spring curriculum (back when I was waiting for my license to go through) and I'm just like, "nah..."

I feel like such a HUGE slacker. Hoping once this weather starts warming up a bit (it might actually be staying in the 30's this week!) it helps me get out of this funk.

Someone please tell me I'm not the only one feeling this way? I'm feeling horrible ... like I'm deceiving these parents. They obviously know we're not doing as much because of the lack of everyday projects and such their children have (haven't?) been coming home with.

Oh sunshine and warm weather, where are yyyooouuu?!??

Yes!!! I know exactly how you feel! This winter has been sooo long. On Friday it got to 50s and we went on a walk. It was old, but it felt so good!

The parents are happy that the kids are happy.

We've gone to doing lots of work sheets instead of projects (I just don't have the energy to look up & cut up projects). We also do music/dance class (nothing like singing gangnam style, what does the fox say?, or Macarena at the top of your lungs!) I just placed a huge spring project order with oroental trading to see if that motivates me to do projects again.

I get ya.

I focus on one productive thing in the AM and one in the PM with the kids when I feel like that and make Fridays "relaxing" fun days where we do what we do not normally do.

I'm thankful for outside time living in CA but I've kinda lost my umph. I printed out some coloring pages for tomorrow and will make something "green" but yeah, kinda in a slump myself. We did a project for one boy who won't be here tomorrow on Friday but want to do another one for the little girl who will be here and hasn't done it yet. Holidays are pretty much my motivation to do crafts and fun stuff. LOL

I think March is maybe the worst month of the entire year! The end of winter, but spring doesn't seem anywhere in sight. It seems gray and yucky out. Yes, I definitely feel the same way!

But you know the saying "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb"

It's so true! March starts out dismal with snow and cold and ends with spring and sunshine on the way! It's coming!!!!!

Actually that's a great idea for an art project (or 2 art projects) a lion for the beginning of March (or now) and a lamb for the end. Or a project that has both and the saying across the top...just an idea

You know, I have heard of that ... maybe I will call my dr and see if he can recommend anything, or just how much vitamin D to take.

Thanks guys ... sorry (and kind of glad to know) I'm not the only one feeling this way.
