Default Favorite Diaper Rash Cream?

Anyone have one they swear by? Does Aquaphor work on a diaper rash? I thought it was more of a protectant but that's what parent brought in to treat the rash that child got over the weekend.

I know keeping clean, dry and uncovered when possible is priority but was curious if anyone had a cream that really seemed to work.

I don't really have one that I swear by, but Aquaphor really works well at protecting and healing. I discovered it when I went through radiation treatments and it helped keep my skin from burning too badly and it helped heal it when it did start to burn toward the end of the treatments. Good stuff, that.

Aquaphor won't treat a rash, but it is a barrier that can keep urine and feces from touching the rash. I don't like using it.

My favorite thing to use is an antifungal (terbinafine) and cortisone mixed together and topped with 40% zinc oxide. Before I started using that, I used Resinol.

Default Calmoseptine

I'm not sure why it won't let me log in, but I have found Calmoseptine to be my favorite diaper rash cream. It is thick and usually only available from the pharmacy counter, but no prescription is needed. Works like a charm.

I used A&D for years, until it just didn't seem as good anymore. Now I use Target or Mjier brand and both do the job.

I recently ordered a petroleum free ointment and it works like a dream and its not expensive. I also like triple paste and Boudrexs butt paste. (I know that's not how you spell that)

I used something like this with my DS. Clotrimazole cream (Canesten) and hydrocortisone cream together. Parents bring their own creams for their children and so I've never used this combo on a child that wasn't my own.

Resinol, for sure!

A daycare provider, who cares for all infants/toddlers, told me about it when my daughter was an infant and had a HORRIBLE bleeding rash. It's for burns and clears it up so quickly. Loved it.

Target brand has a 40% zinc oxide one I used to buy but last few times I went in there they didn't have it.

DCPs provide cream but I keep a tube of Meijers 40% zinc in case they run out/ forget. Also handy for the small burns I get often in my shop.

bag balm is awesome.

It doesn't sting raw skin like Desitin does, and helps non-fungal rashes clear up in a day.
