My daughter's kinder class is having their first field trip. They will be going out to some property belonging to the principal and having a lunch outdoors and examining leaves and trees and such. I cant go but I would like to do little bags for the kids. I'd like to include some little magnifying glasses if I can find them cheap. What else would be good for these bags?

OR I can do sort of kits with an activity for something that the kids can do with the leaves and such they find. What would be a good activity for their "collections"?

These look decent. One piece. I bought the second link and they broke before the kids used them

daycare mama has some great ideas.....just make sure that you check with the teacher. He/She may have some additional ideas that would go along with the day's activities. Also, would you want these transported with the class to the field trip or more of an "after" to keep the learning going? The school may not want to have to transport the goodies so that may change what you would send as well.

Great Thinking Mama!!!!

Its a very small private school....multiple grades in one classroom small. I have known the teacher for over 10 years and know most of the students and families quite well. So its a little non-typical.....that is why I feel comfortable offering up some help with the activity.

The activity is this week so I wouldnt have time to order anything online though.

It would be bags or kits for around a dozen kids.

Maybe pack a few snack sized zip-locks bags in so the kids have specimen bags for things they collect.

Maybe plastic tweezers to pick up "yucky" stuff

How about little laminated index cards with leaf identification pix or details on them http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr-ap/leaf/Page...ion-Cards.aspx
