I have a parent that just informed me she will be going to 4 10s (4 days a week, 10 hour days) which means if I keep this child then I will have DCK for 11.5 to 12 hrs. instead of the 8 hours schedule they have been on.
I'm thinking of keeping him, but would you charge a full time rate?

I have a dcm who is a nurse, she works 4 10 hour shifts in a week. She pays the full time rate.
I would have no issues charging for full time since 4/10 is 40 hours per week so I am sure she (the dcm) will agree.

I'm not sure if you put a limit on the amount of hours a child can be in your care per day. Here not only would that be considered full time,I would charge extra for the longer day.
Good luck! Don't sell yourself short, those will be long days for not only you but the kids.

I would definitely charge the full time rate bc it is so many hours per day.
Thanks ladies! I text mom back that I would be able to take him but the rate is the same (he is charged full time currently). They have contracted hours, so technically the monthly hours will stay about the same.

I took a family with four 10's and didn't charge them for five days (just four) stupid stupid stupid. Since she is working a full time shift, so are you!

Full time rate as long as she is keeping him home on the 5th day. If not, then you should charge more.

I charge full time for anything over 25 hours a week. (5 hours a day would be half a day). I don't feel full time would be asking too much by any means. I also do contracted hours.
