Pretty sure readers would have understood her intent without the photos.... but hey, I guess some people are visual learners.

Ugh!!! And I , too, am extremely pro breast feeding! But this is the kind of thing that makes bf moms look like nut cases. It isn't the 1800's or maybe wet nurses are making a comeback

Eek! I mean good for her for breast feeding, but I don't know how comfortable I would be with another breast feeding my son
Maybe a friend if it was needed

ECS, How many random nipples do YOU see online on a daily basis?!

But yeah. I'm super pro breastfeeding, but posting a pic of your milky nipple online......that's a bit...um yeah.

Um...where else are you seeing random nipples online? What kind of sites do you frequent? Lol. Sorry, but your comment cracked me up!

I'm as pro-breastfeeding as you can get, seriously - and this is just... wrong. 1. I had to force myself to read through her listing without wanting to mark up my computer with a red pen. 2. Who the heck wants to see someone's milky nipple and how on earth does that have any business being in her posting?!

haha-that made me laugh. I thought it was a wart at first too, and then realized, oh milky nipple. I see them daily, nbd, but a bit odd on a cl ad. I guess she wanted to prove her nipples did indeed have milk, and it wasn't some stock bf photo she used for pic 2? Not that milky nipple pic is proof it's her own, but still. And yes, wet nurses are coming back. I'd love to be one. I've nursed my niece once, and it was cool. Chill & laid back. She was not having the bottle mom left soI texted her and asked if I should just nurse her. I still nurse my 3 yr old, and if he's still nursing when I give birth in 5 mos, fully plan on tandem nursing. The only time I've done that was with my son & niece.

In this economy, I wouldn't be surprised.

A few years ago I read an article about women "selling their bodies" (not in the traditional sense of the phrase) to make ends meat. One of them was a woman whose youngest child wasn't nursing anymore and continued to pump breast milk to sell online, she said some people she would give freebies (like a widower whose baby was allergic to formula) and for guys who bought them for "other" purposes she would charge a lot.

Actually, when my kids were younger, and nursing, I was a member of La Leche League and many members of that group shared breast milk with hospital nicus for very preemie babies. Back then, in the late 70's when my kids were babies, preemie babies had a much less chance of surviving than they do today. I should have thought back to that time in my life before making my wisecrack remark about wet nurses the shared breast milk was an awesome idea then to help sick babies and it still is.

Through out history there have always been wet nurses. Not my cup of tea. Didn't enjoy the photos.

It's a good thing it wasn't an ad for sperm donations.
