I know I'm way behind the times..

I started using minute Menu in 2014 I believe. I had heard that it was switching over to kid kare but renewed my subscription through minute menu last year anyway just to see, paid it, and minute menu still worked as normal last year. So I just got my notice that my subscription is up for renewal again and it's taking me through the whole process to renew minute menu again, not kid kare. I only use it for taxes and am not on the food program. Is this why minute menu still works for me? I'm so confused because everyone here says they miss minute menu so much but I can still use it?

That is odd to me. I was forced over last year. I would prefer to stay with MMK Pro. I love the activity planner, daily reports, chart and certificate maker and user-friendly design so much more than Kidkare. None of those are even on Kidkare. I can't name a feature that was improved with the switch.

Up until just a few days ago, I was still using MM also (I'm also not on the food program). I FINALLY switched over the other day because I'm afraid it is just going to disappear and I will lose all my stuff for this year (2019). I HATE kidkare too ugh. And, I had to re enter everything from MM to Kidkare when I switched because nothing migrated over. Lame.

What's weird is that I haven't paid for my subscription to MM since January 2017 lol

I miss MM soooo much already. I cannot stand KK.

Thought I would update the info I have in regards to MMK and KidKare and those not using either program via a food program and paying for a subscription....

This is the reply from MMK/KidKare when asked about MMK [paid subscriptions and migration to KidKare:

"At some point in the future Minute Menu will be discontinued. This is not contingent upon whether a provider has paid or not. If a provider pays for a year of service and we begin the final migration of accounts three months into their subscription, their current subscription will be honored on the new software (9 months without needed to pay) but access will be discontinued on the old software.

If you have any other questions or concerns regarding this issue, please do not hesitate to reply.

It sounds like they'll automatically migrate you over to KK for however remaining months you have left on your paid subscription. If you don't want to use KK at all, I wouldn't bother with MMK at all since it could be 2 months or 10 months in that they'll make the switch.

Ok! I haven't paid for this year yet so I have nothing right now. Since I've heard such bad things about KK I've been looking into other things, but I'm getting cold feet because I was just so used to MMK that I'm afraid of learning a new way.

I am still using Minute Menu Pro because I had a horrible experience the first time I tried to migrate over to KidKare, and they migrated me back. Today when I logged in to Minute Menu, it says that you need to migrate over right now because your records will not be accessible as of the end of 2020. I suppose that means that you can't use it for your 2020 taxes either.

I'm very disappointed and having a panic attack at losing something that is so familiar and easy to use compared to clunky KidKare. I hate KidKare, and I only use the food program module. I just thought I would update the information on this thread.

I preferred MM, but our food program uses (and pays for) KK. So as it's free for me, I can't complain too much. I did hate switching and learning the new program. It had a ridiculous amount of bugs when it first started.

I had a very difficult time, at first. I have not had the first glitch in well over 6 months, now.

I miss the little daily sheets, awards and planners, but the price is great for what it still does.

I used MMPro then moved to KidKare when it was first introduced. I didn't like it at first, but now I like it a lot. It had some major issues at first, but as far as I know they've been resolved. Customer service is good too - they're really open to suggestions and improvements.
