I have a child in my care that has roseola. Her last day was last Thursday and at some point over the weekend she had a fever and the rash. Mom contacts me today saying both fever and rash are gone and if she can come to care tomorrow. I’m reading conflicting reports online, some sources are saying you can be contagious up to 15 days even after rash and fever are gone and others are saying after fever has gone they are fine to return to care. What are your thoughts? No one else in my care, including my own children have had issues.

EXCLUSION Childcare: Until fever is gone and other rash illnesses, especially measles, have been ruled out.
