I have a small space, and there is a LOT of climbing on things. Unfortunately, redirection is difficult because there is no place that it's OK to climb...except outside.

It's been a long winter, and outside hasn't happened alot.

So, on that note, I was considering buying a small climber for inside. I'd love a wooden one, but they are so expensive, I may have to settle for a plastic one.

If you have one, do you like it? Can anyone recommend one? Even if you don't use it indoors, what do you like for outside?

My kiddos are 8m-2 1/2. I realize they will get older, but I'd rather have a small one that's safer than a big one that I can't turn my back on, so I'm shooting for a low to the ground one.

I have the small Little Tikes cube climber inside.

The kids LOVE it.

In my case though, it's in the infant/toddler room so the older preschoolers don't get to use it. We do gym time for them to burn off energy. Plus they can go outside any time they want and the little ones can't.

I've seen that one at Ikea, but the sides are low and there is no platform to speak of, so I worry it'll just be a pushing match.

I really like this one:

But it's a lot of money. I do have a $500 grant coming that I think I could apply.

That climber is awesome!

I have a Little Tykes bus. The kids can climb up one side and slide down the other. They can also turn the steering wheel, put a key in and out, honk the horn (it's not loud) and the wheels have a little hole and spin so you can see the stickers of colors, numbers, shapes, and abc's underneath. Well geez, here's the link..lol My kids love it!

You can find it cheaper on Amazon

I had the same for years, it was awesome, now it is outside. The State decided that it no longer meets regs.

We replaced it with a small dome climber 6x3, instead. Passes inspection, $150 w/shipping, rated 2000 lbs and is awesome!! ( www.domeclimber.com )

hmm....no slide (to push other kids off of). All plastic (so, no sharp edges?)

I could throw a bunch of pillows and all the stuffed animals inside it...

no...I think it's too big for my 9x12 room...

Check your regs. Mine cannot use anything they can fall into. i am going to email to ask bc that would be so fun and there is a free one across the way!

My inspector said I just had to have a gym mat, carpeting or foam padding under it.
