if you are a assistant director do you have to have liceneings and if you dont can you fire ppl and suspend ppl

I live in Texas, and I never had any special licence. Of course rules may have changed. Texas Licensing are a bunch of hypocrites anyway so who knows.
As for firing and suspending people, I never did that. Of course naturally I had input. The only time I ever saw the AD fire someone was the time the AD before me. The caregiver didn't realize that one of the school aged children jumped the fence to go to the church across the street. The child was gone for over 30 mins. He came back when his cousin dropped him off in a car. Long story short, the AD immediality called the director (who was off for the day) and the director said to fire the caregiver, which she did. You can always check with your Minimum Standards in your state.
