how do you handle it when state subsidy clients don't put in their two weeks notice and just up and leave? It was for multiple children so it puts me in a tight spot.

I could pursue the issue in court but I doubt they would have the money to pay. If court was the way I went would I charge my normal rate or the state rate?

Really thinking about no longer enrolling subsidy clients.

In my state when I sign up to accept subsidy payments they ask if I require a notice when parents leave. If I say yes and note how much notice they must give the subsidy program will pay me that amount if the family didn't give me notice themselves so I am not out that money.

What state are you in?
