Just for a fun nap-time laugh

.
Child Care Provider Sanity Poem
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray my sanity may I keep.
For if some peace I do not find,
I'm pretty sure I'll lose my mind.
I pray I find a little quiet,
Far from the daily daycare riot,
May I lie back--not have to think,
about what they're stuffing down the sink,
or who they're with, or where they're at,
and what they're doing to the cat.
I pray for time all to myself,
(did something just fall off a shelf?)
To cuddle in my nice, soft bed,
(Oh no, another goldfish--dead!)
Some silent moments for goodness sake,
(Did I just hear a window break?)
And that I need not cook or clean,
(well heck, I've got the right to dream).
Yes now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray my wits about me keep,
But as I look around I know,
I must have lost them long ago!

omg that's awesome. I like the line about the cat...yep, that's my son...
I think I need to hang that up somewhere. Maybe as a cross-stitch. I don't cross-stitch but I've been meaning to learn...

Maybe print it out on some really cute stationary and laminate, mat and frame it and it will look just as nice.

Awww....you just killed my most recent good excuse for learning a new craft (and thus acquiring all it's accoutrements!)

Oh well it's probably for the best...

LOL!!

I had alterior motives....I am a former cross-stitching addict. Unless you are going to do it alot, there is no point in getting started. People really don't appreciate your hardwork and the results half as much as they pretend to!
I made dish towels, baby blankets, samplers, wall art, you nameit and I don't recall anyone I "gifted" actually using what I put hours of time/thought into.

so I figured I save you the trouble, although it is fun to do.
