Hello,

I am new to this site and new to the idea of opening a daycare.

I looked up the requirements for PA and see you need Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field; or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.

I have a BA in Sociology and I took a couple classes in education not 30 credits. In one class I did some field work observing a elementary class. Through college I worked as a nanny. I also got accepted to an honor society in Education and Sociology. My question is: Will they license me? I was thinking that Sociology would fall under human service field.
