Default Oh Lord!...

I handed out my yearly enrollment forms to my families last Thursday. Only some minor changes...1 of them being that everyone must arrived clean, dressed, and ready to play.

DCM shows up this morning and says: So I was looking at the handbook. Does that mean from now on the girls have to get dressed before thy come.

What I wanted to say: No sh!* sherlock!
What I did say: Yes

DCM in a snotty sarcastic tone: Well that's just awesome, ***** is going to love that!

DCM looks at DCG and says: ****, you are going to have to get up early now!

DCG pouts: Awww man!

Meanwhile I'm just grinning

DCM walks out. Apparently she didnt realize my windows were open so as she opened the door to her car I hear her telling her boyfriend. "No she said they HAVE to be dressed before they come."

Good lord! some people just want it all don't they!

I interviewed an excellent family on Saturday. I'm really hoping they work out so I won't have to put up with the above family much longer.

Wow. Just wow. Really? Hmmm, I think Nan would suggest a dressing fee. Perhaps "oh I can make an exception for you, but I do charge $5 pet child per.day."

That's exactly right.

All it is is a shift in thinking. She needs to see the real value of dressing her own kid in the morning. Five bucks a day would do it.

What a great service you are providing.
School Training. They certainly can't go in their pajamas to school.

LOVE all these comments! It was real hard not to laugh at the sight of a 30+yr old woman throwing a fit like a 2 yr old.

I had a DCM pouting one time. In a joking way, I said to mom. "I figured out where DCG gets her beautiful pouty lips!" Mom laughed. She didnt realize what I meant until she was halfway back to her car.

It got better but eventually she went back to her pouty ways. So annoying but funny at the same time.

I disagree. Many of the siblings of my DCK's come with their parents to pick up and almost half of them (boys and girls) are wearing their favorite cartoon or theme pj's.

The other day a mom dropped off her child and was wearing Sponge Bob pj pants and a tee. She said she really didn't feel like getting dressed that day as they had had a late night and since she works in a call center (in the presence of other people ) she figured the people she had to call couldn't see what she was wearing so basically who cares....

So even parents are wearing pj's now days in public

Oh, it just astounds me when I see people in the pj's out in the stores!!!! I just think how lazy can you be not to get dressed in the mornings?

Actually though isn't Hugh Hefner famous for wearing silk jamies all the time?

at his mansion. In the privacy of his own home. I bet he changes them regularly and washes.

Lazy. Once in a while to stay in your jammies all day.......hey why not. But to live in them day to day..........gross, lazy and hock up and buy some real clothes.

Then again.......lol. I have seen some "real" clothes that I just rather they would put back on their jammies.......lol. Saw a real winner this past weekend at a convenience store that looked like he came right out of the Flinstones, with his cut up jeans and a look right out of the stone age........stone.......aha..........yes stoned.

There was a young woman in front of me at Kohls one afternoon that had clearly just rolled out of bed after a night of who-know-what. She was SOOOOO NASTY to the clerks. I almost spoke up, she was so mean, but then it occured to me she might just be dangerous. Seriously, I was expecting her to yell "then OFF WITH YOUR HEAD". The Grand Queen in a tank top, sweats, and her hair up in on of those bed- head buns. She was pretty, too. I almost missed it due to her nasty attitude and eh hem "dungarees"...

I have to agree, I don't mind pj's every once in a while, but when a child starts to dictate to a parent that they will be wearing pj's for that day, well then theres a problem. I also have to agree that alot of it, is that parents are lazy. Its so rare that I even allow my own children to sit in their pj's here, even on their days off. I think appearance is important, even if your not going anywhere.
