Default Approved Yogurt List

Just in case anyone needs a list of the approved yogurts.
One of the area food programs compiled this list:

Food program relevant:

I just got an USDA email addresed to my daycare: "SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP’S PLAN TO PROTECT AMERICAN FARMERS FROM UNJUSTIFIED TRADE RETALIATION" - https://content.govdelivery.com/acco...letins/20169ee

This feels odd. When did they start campaigning?

I am not on the FP but this is very interesting. A lot of my families send their children yogurt so I may add it to our morning snack once a week starting in the fall.....

What do you all serve yogurt with?

Yogurt is a credible source of protein

I don't know about others but I only buy plain greek yogurt and serve it with fresh fruit as a snack option. I don't think I've ever served yogurt as part of our lunch just snack.

I've never bought flavored yogurt for my DCK's either and I've never bought those tubes of yogurt...they just sound gross.

Lunch serving is an awful lot of yogurt!

I will stick with snack serving.

That's what I was thinking. My son doesn't eat meat (texture thing) so I often serve him yogurt as a substitute, but he never eats more than 4 oz! And usually closer to 2oz. He's almost 4.

I only serve it at lunch if I mix it with peanut butter to make fruit and veggie dip. Otherwise the amount required is just too much.

I use it for snack, either in a cup by itself with crackers or fresh fruit alongside, or in a cup with a bit of canned fruit on bottom or just granola on top (one or the other but try not to do both for snack times). I also use it once every 6 weeks at breakfast to make a parfait of fruit, yogurt and granola. I, too, make a peanut butter yogurt dip for apples or pears if I have enough leftover now and again. Oh, and I also use it for making breakfast smoothies once every 6 weeks. We normally have just vanilla, which they seem to like the most, but my boss sometimes gets bored with it, I think, and springs blueberry or strawberry on me.
