About First Steps Academy
First Steps Academy is an academic based daycare that focuses on getting your child ready for school through play. The program owner (Caitlin) has worked with children for 15+ years both in the regular school setting and in a special needs school setting. Caitlin is a foster parent who has adopted two children, as well as a Ed Tech 3, and loves working with children. The program director( Lynn) has worked with children for 30+ years, as well as owned and run her own daycare in the past. Lynn is a licensed Special Education teacher who formerly taught at Lee Winn & Ella P. Burr. Before becoming a teacher Lynn was a case manager for children and families. Lynn has raised 4 of her own children as well as 3 grand children and enjoys working with children and seeing them make gains. Both Lynn and Caitlin are first aid/ CPR certified and have taken many extra trainings to ensure the safety and well-being of your children.
