About One Step Ahead Home Preschool and Daycare

I truly believe children learn best when they feel loved, safe, and genuinely cared for. Building positive relationships with their teacher and encouraging peer interaction helps foster confidence, trust, and a lifelong love of learning. I created my preschool to feel like the perfect balance — structured like a center, but warm and nurturing like home. Our daily routines offer predictability which lets a child know what to expect throughout the day. Our small ratio preschool allows us to provide high quality care where we can individualize for each child and offer a stress free environment. In our program we focus on every child’s interest. We plan our studies(themes) to provide hands on exploration activities where your child will develop language, math, cognitive, fine motor, growth motor and most importantly social emotional skills. I believe social emotional development is crucial at an early age because it fosters empathy, self awareness and confidence. At One Step Ahead we also focus on healthy habits, and nutrition. Our family style meals encourages fine motor skills, conversations develop language and mealtimes become a comfortable, low-pressure environment for trying and enjoying new foods. Our daily healthy habits are also very important, they include, washing hands, brushing teeth, how to use a tissue, exercise, etc. During our outdoor time we encourage children to exercise and develop hand and body coordination through many fun activities they will have the opportunity to chose from. Our bilingual program offers children the opportunity to learn another language in a fun and casual way. We learn through sing alongs, story time, conversation and daily routines.
