About Pursuing Excellence Child Care

Hello! My name is Dawn Meade. I am the owner/provider of Pursuing Excellence Child Care, located in Derby, KS. This is an in-home childcare/preschool with an emphasis on teaching and training little ones to pursue excellence in all areas, which include play, social interactions, and age-appropriate activities and skills. Teaching children to pursue excellence involves a lot of time, love, and patience. It involves teaching and training children to always do their best, how to show respect to and for their parents, their teachers, and authority in general, how to interact politely by using good manners and appropriate words, how to control their bodies and self-regulate their emotions, and how to stop and think before speaking or acting. Teaching children all of these important life skills, along with developing their physical, social/emotional, cognitive, and language domains is an important part of my focus in working with young children.
