About Sunnyside Daycare

Welcome to my licensed in-home daycare, where families can count on reliable, consistent, and high-quality care. In nearly six years of providing care, I have never had a same-day closure. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have additional experience as a first responder, so I remain calm and confident in any situation. Prior to opening my daycare, I spent 25 years in manufacturing as a supervisor, which built my strong sense of responsibility, organization, and reliability. I offer a preschool-style learning program starting at age 3 and follow the Sterling school calendar. This allows children to learn and prepare for school without needing to transition between daycare and preschool programs. Unlike traditional school schedules, I provide consistent, year-round care—so families don’t have to worry about early dismissals, no-school days, or summer care. I provide all meals and snacks (excluding baby food and formula) and maintain a structured daily routine to help children feel secure and thrive. My daycare is located in a quiet subdivision with a fully fenced backyard and plenty of outdoor play equipment. We also take short walks to a nearby park and enjoy outdoor play and occasional picnic lunches when the weather allows. I use a shared calendar to keep parents informed in real time of any planned closures or schedule updates, so communication is always clear and accessible. We love to celebrate here! From birthdays to holidays, I create fun, themed activities and parties that make childhood special and memorable. As a mom of two (ages 9 and 11), including a child with autism, I understand that every child is unique. I have experience with children who may have developmental delays, sensory needs, or picky eating habits, and I pride myself on being patient, flexible, and supportive of each child’s individual needs.
