About Starrett Early Learning Center
Dear Family, Thank you for your interest in Starrett Early Learning Center (SELC). We are excited to welcome your child to a nurturing and enriching experience that supports curiosity, growth, and development. At SELC, we foster a safe, inclusive environment where each child’s needs are met through play-based learning. Our program encourages exploration, social interaction, cooperation, and inquiry. We believe physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development are all deeply connected. Founded in 1976, SELC has proudly served the community by partnering with families to support the holistic development of young learners. Our team serves as an extension of the home, working closely with parents to nurture each child’s potential. SELC is licensed by the NYS Department of Health and operates 3K and Pre-K for All classrooms under contract with the NYC Department of Education. We provide 6 hours and 20 minutes of instruction following the DOE calendar and offer extended care for a monthly fee. Warm regards, Tammy Moore Executive Director
