About Virginia Hills Preschool
We are a dedicated preschool that has been serving the Northern Virginia area since 1961. We teach ages 12 months to 5 years using: Creative Activities- Self-expression through the use of paints, clay, crayons, manual tools, and other materials. Field Trips– Our Pre-K classes visit points of interest in our local community to help the children establish appreciation for people who contribute to their lives. Teamwork- Planning, working and playing together in an organized environment so that desirable habits and attitudes, independence and responsibility are established. Language Experiences- Enjoying stories, verse, conversation and dramatization. Music Experiences- Responding rhythmically to songs, singing and listening to music. Students will also be introduced to various instruments. Readiness Experiences- Offering the basic fundamentals of learning. Our Pre-K classes base their scholastic goals on the FCPS Kindergarten Readiness Milestones. Relaxation- Indoor/outdoor play and quiet time.
