About Dandy Lions Childcare

Dandy Lions is a brand new daycare as of June 2026. Our mission is to provide a warm, safe, and engaging environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn. We strive to nurture each child’s natural curiosity through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions that promote confidence, creativity, and independence. We believe that every child deserves a caring environment that encourages growth, celebrates individuality, and fosters kindness and respect. Our program is built on the belief that children learn best through active play, exploration, and positive relationships. We view each child as a unique individual with their own strengths, interests, and developmental pace. We provide a supportive environment where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, solve problems, and develop social skills through guided interactions and hands-on experiences. Our program emphasizes: • Respectful and responsive caregiving • Developmentally appropriate activities • Positive guidance and encouragement • Opportunities for independence and creativity • Inclusion and respect for diversity • Safe and healthy daily routines Both owners have different life experiences to bring to the table. Kaylee is a mom of two little boys and has an extensive background supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and running the day program, as well as many years of informal childcare experience - including volunteering at a daycare. She also recently graduated UMA with a BA in interdisciplinary studies, focusing on psychology and having taken classes focused on childhood development and mental health. Andi is a mom to 3 adult sons. Her passion is working with children, but she also has experience working in different healthcare settings including direct support and CRMA. Her favorite job was her experience as a preschool teacher for 6+ years. She also loved coaching basketball for elementary and middle school.
