About Atascadero Early Learning Center
Atascadero Cooperative Preschool is a non-profit, parent participation preschool that has been nurturing children and families for more than 50 years. We believe that children receive the best education with the active participation of parents working alongside a teacher in a play-centered, developmentally appropriate learning environment. We inspire children to learn hands-on through curiosity, imagination and creativity with diverse opportunities for social, emotional, cognitive, language and motor growth. We provide children with a positive environment where they are welcome and free to explore and learn to their greatest potential. We desire to connect families together and hope parents and children will feel part of a supportive community. Atascadero Cooperative Preschool is a unique, family-centered learning environment with a community of trusted adults working together for the education of each child. Founded in 1963 by a group of parents who wanted to actively participate in their children’s education and development, today the school continues to operate by the parents of the children enrolled alongside the teacher/director.
