About O'Brien Child Development Center

O’Brien Child Development Center has proudly served families in the Auburn community for more than 20 years. We are a family-operated, women- and veteran-owned child care center offering licensed Infant and Preschool/Pre-K programs in a warm, welcoming, home-like environment. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and connected. Our experienced teachers provide hands-on learning, creative activities, outdoor play, social interaction, and age-appropriate experiences that support each child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Our Infant Program provides attentive, nurturing care while supporting each child’s individual schedule and developmental needs. Our Preschool/Pre-K Program combines learning and play to help children build confidence, independence, communication skills, friendships, and the foundation they need for kindergarten and beyond. Families are an important part of everything we do. We encourage strong communication between parents and teachers and work to create an environment where families remain connected to their child’s day. Our spacious center provides multiple indoor learning and activity areas along with outdoor play spaces designed for exploration, movement, and fun. With a licensed capacity of 60 children, we offer families the resources of a larger facility while maintaining the personal, family-oriented atmosphere that has defined O’Brien for more than two decades. Conveniently located on Grass Valley Highway in Auburn, O’Brien Child Development Center is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We accept both private-pay and subsidized child care families. Now enrolling! Infant and Preschool/Pre-K openings may be available.
