About Beth El Nursery School
Welcome! We are so happy you found us at Beth El Nursery School. We are a Jewish, nature—and play-based school nestled under a grove of Live Oaks in a residential area of North Berkeley. We provide a joyful, caring environment filled with engaging spaces inside and our nature playscape, where children can bloom under the care of our loving, creative, and experienced teachers. Our teachers design investigations and explorations by observing the children individually and as a cohort. Using an emergent curriculum approach, they then plan provocations and activities based on the children's interests and development. These explorations can last days, months, or even the entire year. Our classroom walls reflect the children's learning. We are passionate about nurturing your little one’s mind, body, and soul as they enjoy the magic of childhood. Through working, playing, and celebrating holidays and life cycle events together, teachers, clergy, parents, and children build a safe, warm and welcoming community. At BENS we all strive to be life-long learners. Contact us anytime to schedule a tour or get more details about our daycare facility.
