About Woodcreek Montessori

The Woodcreek Montessori School is based on the philosophies of Maria Montessori. The Montessori Method offers a prepared classroom environment that fosters a sense of freedom to explore educational materials that are tailored to focus on each child's cognitive, social, emotional and language framework. The Indoor and Outdoor classrooms offer purposeful materials in the areas of Sensorial, Practical Life, Language, Mathematics, Science/Botany, Cultural Studies, Geography, Reading/Phonics, Music, and Gardening. Our classrooms provide opportunities for Toddlers and Preschool age children to explore activities that follow each child's educational needs. Organic and non-GMO meals/snacks are provided for the children. Our preschool participates in the Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP) through the USDA. Parents are able to enjoy the comfort of a safe In-Home environment, in a smaller group setting. Our ratio is two teachers for twelve students in the Morning and School Day Classes. We provide a comprehensive Illness Policies, Protocols & Sick Policy that is updated frequently. Wendy D.H. Spencer, Educational Director.
