It is the mission of Indian Harbour Montessori to provide a stimulating and harmonious environment. In the Montessori classroom, the children’s inherent love of learning is fostered by allowing them to engage in meaningful activities while guided by a trained instructor. This process helps them develop essential skills such as concentration, motivation, persistence, and discipline. Within this structured framework, each child progresses at their own pace, aligning with their unique capabilities. Our ultimate goal is to cultivate a love of learning and to teach children how to learn. To achieve this, we have designed a curriculum that is more progressive than traditional models, based on the teachings of Maria Montessori. The curriculum introduces lessons simply and concretely in the early years and revisits these concepts in a more abstract and complex manner as they advance.
