About Marilynn's Childcare

I started my daycare in 1992 in order to provide care for my older daughter, Jessica, since she is handicapped. I always loved working with children & my emphasis in college was art education & Spanish. I do a Christian based daycare & at Level 2 Paths to Quality which means I "facilitate" learning by using educational toys, activities & TV to help the children learn. I believe the younger children learn a great deal from their free play; such as sharing & communication. They get ideas from each other & learn about being a friend, taking turns, etc. Also, our group is small. I like only up to 8 total. I only care for children 1 year & to 12 years now since I'm 69. I do a vegetarian menu, in a totally smoke-free home & we have a fenced-in back yard. Hablo Español!! I accept CCDF vouchers. We do go on field trips if I have 4 or less kids. When it's cold we go to McDonald's or Mall play areas. In warmer weather we go to any one of the parks.
