Job Summary: The Co-Teacher will work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This position supports curriculum implementation, classroom management, and ensures each child’s developmental needs are met. --- Key Responsibilities: Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities. Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture. Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and engagement. Support children’s emotional, physical, and social development. Maintain open communication with parents and staff. Help set up, organize, and maintain classroom materials and cleanliness. Observe and document children’s progress and behavior. Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines. --- Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of or willingness to complete: 90-Hour Preschool Certification (Child Growth & Development + Curriculum) 45-Hour Infant & Toddler Curriculum (if working with infants/toddlers) 9-Hour Communication Course First Aid & CPR Certification Experience working with young children preferred.
